Dr. Lisa Littlejohn Hill, PhD, MBA and LPC

Dr. Lisa Hill brings a wealth of valuable experience to Brave Step including her PhD, MBA and LPC. In addition to being an adjunct faculty member at UNC-C, she has worked as a Mental Health Education Specialist for Carolinas Healthcare System and has been in private practice for the last 4 years. Her research interests include Posttraumatic Growth, trauma and spirituality in counseling.

Seth Langson, Attorney at Law

Seth Langson is a Charlotte attorney who is regarded as a pioneer in the representation of sexual abuse survivors. After 30 years of working on behalf of victims, he now devotes his efforts to preventing sex abuse through child advocacy, education and systemic changes. He received his undergraduate degree from Hobart College and law degree from Boston College. He has been rated AV (the highest rating) by Martindale-Hubbell.

Julie Moxley, Beane Swaringen & Company, PLLC

Certified Public Accountant

Julie W. Moxley graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is a licensed CPA in the state of North Carolina.  During her career, she has worked for BDO Seidman and other local and regional CPA firms in both the audit and tax areas. Currently, she is a member/manager in the accounting firm of Beane Swaringen & Company, PLLC and manages the Locust, N.C., office of the practice.  

Dr. LaTonya Summers, LifeSkills Counseling and Consulting Group

Executive Director, MA LPC LPCS LCAS, PhD

LaTonya Summers is the founder and executive director of the LifeSkills Counseling & Consulting Group, LifeSkills Cares, Inc. and the Institute for Behavioral Healthcare Development. She is a doctoral student at UNC-Charlotte where she conducts research designed to improve mental health outcomes in African-American communities. She founded the Black Mental Health Symposium, an annual national conference for Black mental health practitioners. She is a doctoral fellow, and the 2016 winner of UNCC's Social Justice and Advocacy Award. She is a proud board member of Brave Step, the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of NC, and Firm Foundations Youth & Family Outreach.
