Deepening Allyship

Small Actions, Big Impact

Join us Aug. 11 to take your allyship to the next level.

This interactive workshop is designed for anyone who wants to move beyond awareness and into meaningful action.

Through guided exercises and real-world scenarios, you’ll build practical skills to support survivors of sexual violence from co-regulation and active listening to bystander intervention and repairing harm when you misstep. Whether you’re a friend, coworker, supervisor or community member, you’ll leave with tools you can use right away.

📅 Date: Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026

🕐 Time: 7:00-8:30 p.m. ET

An ally is someone who stands alongside survivors of sexual violence, not to fix or rescue, but to listen, believe and take meaningful action.
Allyship means educating yourself, speaking up when you witness harm and creating spaces where survivors feel safe and supported. It’s a practice anyone can learn, and it starts with showing up.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • how trauma shows up in everyday life, unpack the social norms that fuel harm, and practice responding with empathy and confidence.
  • the 5 D’s of bystander intervention, discover how to manage your own discomfort without centering yourself, and create a personal action plan for the allyship journey ahead.

This workshop builds on concepts introduced in our Level 1 Changemaker session, so some familiarity with foundational ally language and skills will help you get the most out of it.

Allyship isn’t a single moment. It’s an ongoing practice.

Join Brave Step and a community of changemakers committed to creating safety, challenging harmful norms and letting survivors know they’re not alone.
