Biography

Dr. Cooley is a retired clinical psychologist who spent 27 years serving veterans at the
Salisbury VAMC and its satellite clinics in Charlotte. She devoted 15 years of her career designing and implementing programs for veterans with PTSD.

Initially, she worked with combat veterans in a structured inpatient program where she provided part time evaluation/therapy to veterans who had experienced military sexual trauma (MST) which resulted in an opportunity to write a grant to established a military sexual trauma treatment program.

Upon receipt of the grant, she segued into a treatment coordinator position for the new program, designing treatment interventions and staff education materials as well as providing group and individual therapy. When she transferred to the satellite VA clinic in Charlotte, she assumed generalist duties which included the continued provision of treatment to veterans with MST.
