Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer and your willingness to contribute valuable time. Our goal is to empower adults impacted by sexual violence; and volunteers are essential to reaching that goal.

Opportunities
Peer Leader
Are you a survivor of sexual violence in a healthy place with your trauma and ready to give back? Brave Step seeks passionate individuals to lead or co-lead peer groups. Learn more about the peer leader training and expectations here.
Board Committees
Brave Step has two opportunities to join a board committee.
The fundraising committee supports the board’s responsibility for oversight of the organization’s fundraising activities, including chairing special events.
The second role is with a special one-time community event designed to elevate the mission and awareness of this mission.
Serve as an Ambassador
If you are outgoing and willing to represent Brave Step, an ambassador role may be a great fit. As an ambassador, you can assist with community outreach, represent Brave Step at events and more.

Find Your Passion
Brave Step will actively work to find a good fit for your skills, talent and passion.
Expectations
- Volunteers are asked to commit to 1 year of service.
- Pass a background check, if the role warrants it.
- Volunteer opportunities are for individuals over 18.
- Sign a volunteer confidentiality agreement and other relevant paperwork.
Next Steps
To become a volunteer, candidates must complete:
- An online application
- Attend volunteer orientation within 2 months of applying.
