Changemaker:
Individual Goals
Are you ready to take action to shape a strong, supportive community?
If so, set some specific goals or steps forward that you can take to be a Changemaker on this pervasive issue.
A simple-to-complete form is below to guide you in this individual goal-setting excercise. Additionally, sample individual goals are below for reference.

Here’s an example of a goal-setting exercise.
My Goal: As a mom, I’d like to know how to teach my three-year old about sexual violence.
The first step to reaching this goal is:
Learn the signs of child sex abuse.
The third step to reaching this goal is:
Better understand how to approach the conversation and perhaps language to guide me in discussing this with my child.
How will I measure success?
Feeling more confident on the subject, gaining insight and information to have the conversation and as much as possible having an informed conversation with my child.
The second step to reaching this goal is:
Read about good touches and bad touches and how to convey that to my child.
What do I need to help me do this?
Articles to read that do each of the above.
I would like to have this goal accomplished by:
Three months from today (Ex. March 2021)
Here’s another example of a goal-setting exercise.
My Goal: I am a survivor of sexual violence and want to better understand how to help myself.
The first step to reaching this goal is:
Read about the options for care.
The third step to reaching this goal is:
Research top providers in my community that specialize in sexual violence, trauma and/or PTSD.
How will I measure success?
Being more informed on the subject, gaining insight and information to take a step forward, and finding quality care.
The second step to reaching this goal is:
If counseling is a good option for care, learn what questions to ask a therapist.
What do I need to help me do this?
Articles to read that do each of the above.
I would like to have this goal accomplished by:
Three months from today (Ex. March 2021)
