What To Expect

As families plan for the upcoming summer break, the use of technology will increase as a means of entertainment and summer learning.

However, online safety may not be top of mind. Access to technology has substantially increased the risk to children to be exposed to harm through child pornography and online grooming that could lead to sexual abuse or child sex trafficking. According to a recent study by Thorn, the use of technology including texts, websites or apps is on the rise for sex traffickers.

Join Shawna Pagano, MSW and the director of education and community engagement at Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center to learn more about sexual abuse, sex trafficking, grooming, online grooming, and online safety tips.

Brave Step is pleased to invite parents and caregivers of children of all ages to benefit from this hour-long conversation. Register now at https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/7irKAMIX4hpRabzV2iaybA.
