Biography

Dr. David Brantley III has worked in various settings with various populations over the years, including college counseling centers, non-profit organizations, schools, substance abuse treatment centers and hospitals.

He attended Morehouse College where he received his BA in psychology in 1989 and attended Rutgers University where he received his Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. It was his childhood experiences with many of the challenges that peers in his community faced that inspired him to want to make a difference and reinforced a lifetime commitment to social justice and multi-cultural competence.

In 2009 he became a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of North Carolina. He has experience in: individual and group psychotherapy, teaching, personal and professional development workshops, life skills training, and the design and evaluation of human service programs. He’s had experience in treating: depression, anxiety, substance abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Trauma.
