Dr. Mike Yonkovig is a licensed psychologist in private practice specializing in the treatment of dissociative disorders and complex trauma problems.

He has been an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has taught professionals about trauma and dissociation issues at United Family Services in Charlotte, Charlotte Area Health Education Center, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a variety of professional gatherings.

Dr. Yonkovig supervises many professionals learning how to treat this clinical problem utilizing a model he developed for trauma treatment that differs from most present day approaches.

He has been a mental health professional since 1978 and is a member of many professional organizations within psychology, hypnosis and trauma treatment. He holds a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from The Pennsylvania State University.
