Biography
Shannon Crawford Walker is a strategic fundraiser with over two decades of experience helping nonprofit organizations generate mission-driven revenue. As a Strategic Fundraising Advisor with ARCHITECT Philanthropic Collective, she helps organizations build authentic donor relationships and the systems that sustain them. To date, she has generated more than $8 million in philanthropic revenue.
A Charlotte native, Shannon began her career at United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania and has since served in leadership roles with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas, Right Moves For Youth, Carolina Raptor Center, and ANSWER Scholarship. In every role, she has focused on building organizational capacity and strengthening the systems that drive sustainable revenue.
Shannon currently serves as Vice President of IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access) for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Charlotte Chapter, and is the founding Board Chair and immediate past Board Chair of the She Dreams In Color™ Foundation. Through her board service, she works to expand access and opportunity within the philanthropic sector.
She holds a BA in Public Relations from Clark Atlanta University and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University. Her professional credentials include Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and Impact Philanthropy Advisor (IPA). Shannon is also an alumna of Leadership Charlotte Class 42.
A proud wife and mom, Shannon lives in Charlotte with her husband Duan and their two children, Wyatt and Skylar.
