💙 Voices of Change: Ceara Corry, LCSW For Cear 💙 Voices of Change: Ceara Corry, LCSW

For Ceara Corry, this work is both personal and purposeful.

Her journey into sexual wellness and therapy was shaped by her own lived experiences, the stories she searched for, and a desire to become “the person she needed.”

As a sexual trauma survivor and therapist, Ceara brings honesty, compassion and deep intention to her work, creating spaces where growth, understanding and connection can take root.

She is especially committed to supporting survivors and historically marginalized communities, recognizing the layered impact of trauma, oppression and silence.

Because recovery isn’t just about what we’ve been through, it’s also about what we’re moving toward.

We’re grateful for Ceara and the powerful perspective she brings to this work. 💙

Color It Blue 2026 may be over, but the ripple eff Color It Blue 2026 may be over, but the ripple effects continue. 💙

This April, our community showed up in powerful ways - wearing blue, sharing ribbons, volunteering, walking, running, fundraising, starting conversations, and standing beside survivors and loved ones.

Together, we:
💙 Reached 121,000+ people
💙 Logged 2,631 volunteer hours
💙 Sparked countless conversations around recovery, prevention and support

To every volunteer, donor, partner, participant, survivor, loved one, and ally: thank you for helping create visible change in our communities.

But this work doesn’t end when April does.

Prevention happens when communities stay engaged. Recovery happens when survivors feel supported. Change happens when people continue showing up ... one conversation, one action and one brave step at a time.

Thank you for Coloring It Blue with us. We can’t wait to keep building what comes next.

💙 Education Is Prevention Why does the news so 💙 Education Is Prevention

Why does the news sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for survivors?

For many, current events don’t just inform, they can reactivate past trauma.

This is called retraumatization, and it can happen when media coverage, headlines, or repeated exposure to distressing events overwhelm the nervous system.

💙 Signs you may be feeling overwhelmed by the news:
• Increased anxiety or emotional distress
• Trouble sleeping or concentrating
• Feeling on edge, numb, or shut down
• Avoiding news completely or feeling unable to look away

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone and there are ways to stay informed while still protecting your well-being.

💙 Gentle strategies to support yourself:
• Set boundaries around when and how you consume news
• Take breaks and notice what your body needs
• Choose trusted sources and limit repeated exposure
• Ground yourself with simple regulation practices (breathing, movement, connection)

You don’t have to disconnect completely to stay well.
You can stay informed and take care of yourself.
