πŸ’™ One Brave Thing πŸ’™ Today, ask one more que πŸ’™ One Brave Thing πŸ’™

Today, ask one more question.

When someone you care about shares their day, resist the urge to move on too quickly. Instead, ask one more question.

πŸ’™ "Tell me more about that."
πŸ’™ "How did that make you feel?"
πŸ’™ "What happened next?"
πŸ’™ "What do you need from me right now?"

Sometimes, the most meaningful conversations begin because someone took a little extra time to listen.

You don't have to have the perfect response.

Your curiosity, presence and willingness to listen can make someone feel seen, valued, and safe.

One brave thing this week: Ask one more question and listen with your full attention.

Some people make a difference by giving their time.

Others make a difference by sharing the knowledge they've spent years building.

Today, we're excited to welcome Rani Patel to the Brave Step Board of Directors.

Throughout her career, Rani has built a reputation as a strategic leader who enjoys solving complex challenges, simplifying big ideas and helping organizations create lasting value. She believes that thoughtful strategy isn't just about growth; it's about creating meaningful impact.

Now, she's bringing that same passion for problem-solving and service to Brave Step.

As our organization continues to grow, Rani's experience in strategy, operations and building sustainable solutions will help strengthen our ability to serve survivors, support loved ones and educate our community.

What inspires us most is that Rani has chosen to invest her talents in a cause that matters. She understands that lasting change happens when people from different backgrounds come together, each contributing their unique skills to build something greater than themselves.

Welcome to the Brave Step family, Rani. Thank you for choosing to stand with survivors and help shape a future where every person has access to support, connection, and hope.

Brave Step is grateful for your interest in supporting this work and welcome gifts of any size. A dollar goes a long way in strengthening men and women impacted by sexual violence.

Volunteer

Volunteers are essential to our success. Whether you have 30 minutes or three hours to contribute, we can utilize your passion and skills.

At Brave Step, we work to build a strong, supportive community by helping adults impacted by sexual violence claim the life they deserve; fostering brave public conversations about sexual violence; and cultivating a community of courageous changemakers to take action and help prevent future sexual violence.
