πŸ’™ Education Is Prevention πŸ’™ The science con πŸ’™ Education Is Prevention πŸ’™

The science continues to affirm something we've long believed: Early experiences matter.

A new resource from @developingchildharvard reminds us that children's early experiences help shape the foundation for lifelong health, learning, relationships, and well-being. Just as importantly, positive, supportive relationships can help children thrive and build resilience.

That's why prevention isn't one conversation.

It's hundreds of everyday moments.
πŸ’™ Listening without judgment.
πŸ’™ Respecting boundaries.
πŸ’™ Teaching body autonomy.
πŸ’™ Creating safe spaces for questions.
πŸ’™ Helping children know they can always come to a trusted adult.

These moments may seem small, but they help build trust, strengthen relationships, and create environments where children feel safe, valued, and supported.

At Brave Step, we believe education is one of the most powerful tools we have to help prevent sexual violence and empower the next generation.

Because prevention doesn't begin when there's a problem.

It begins every day - in our homes, our schools and our communities.

Every day matters. Recovery doesn’t happen all Every day matters.

Recovery doesn’t happen all at once. It happens in small, steady moments of support. This August, you can help fuel that daily support by claiming a day and donating that dollar amount ($1–$31).

It’s simple. It’s meaningful. And it directly supports survivors.

Claim your day or create a calendar to share:

πŸ’™ One Brave Thing πŸ’™ What if one brave thing πŸ’™ One Brave Thing πŸ’™

What if one brave thing this weekend was choosing one small act of support?

You don't have to change the world today. But you can change someone's day.

Maybe it looks like:
-Checking in on a friend and really listening.
-Respecting someone's boundary without asking them to explain.
-Learning one new way to support a survivor.
-Offering encouragement to someone who's having a hard day.
-Creating space for someone to simply be heard.

These moments may seem small.

But kindness builds trust.
Listening builds connection.
Support builds stronger communities.

One brave thing doesn't have to be extraordinary. It simply has to be intentional.

Because every day gives us another opportunity to show compassion, choose empathy and make a difference.

What's one small act of support you'll choose today?
