💙 Shop for Good: Small Items. Big Impact. 💙 💙 Shop for Good: Small Items. Big Impact. 💙

What if something as simple as a blue ribbon, a bracelet or an item from a wish list could help spark a conversation, build community and support survivors?

During @sharecharlotte's Shop for Good Week (July 13–17), we’re inviting our community to support Brave Step by shopping items that help bring our mission to life.

Every item has a purpose.

💙 The materials used to create Color It Blue ribbons and bracelets help start conversations about sexual violence prevention and remind survivors they are seen and supported.

🔥 The items that support Meat Fest help us create a community event that brings people together and raises critical resources for survivor support programs.

These may look like simple supplies but they help us create moments of connection, awareness and action.

This week, consider shopping our wish list and helping turn everyday items into meaningful impact. Link in bio.

Together, we can show that community support comes in many forms.

💙 Voices of Change 💙 What does freedom trul 💙 Voices of Change 💙

What does freedom truly mean?

For many survivors of sexual violence, freedom is not simply about leaving the past behind. It is about reclaiming what trauma can take away, a sense of safety, trust, choice, connection and the ability to fully experience life on their own terms.

Freedom after trauma is not forgetting what happened.
It is no longer allowing what happened to define what is possible.

Long-time trauma therapist Micki McDonough, LCMHC, shares this powerful reminder:

“None of us are free as long as one being is touched in a way that feels bad to them.
Let freedom ring!”

Micki’s words remind us that true freedom requires more than independence. It requires compassion, respect and a commitment to creating communities where every person’s boundaries and humanity are honored.

At Brave Step, we believe recovery is a powerful act of reclaiming freedom. Through support, connection and community, survivors can move toward a future where they are seen, heard, believed and empowered.

May we continue building a world where freedom means safety, dignity and the ability to grow.
