🗣 Voices of Change | Minority Mental Health Awa 🗣 Voices of Change | Minority Mental Health Awareness Month
Featuring: Dr. Lisa Littlejohn Hill

This July, we honor Minority Mental Health Awareness Month by turning awareness into action. Dr. Hill reminds us that mental health conversations in communities of color require compassion and depth, naming the impact of systemic barriers, cultural stigma and unequal access to care.

Intersectionality matters. When we recognize how race, gender, class and identity shape the survivor experience, we create space for deeper growth.

Whether you're a clinician, advocate, loved one or survivor, the call is the same: practice cultural humility, respond with empathy and build pathways that center survivors’ voices.

Because when we lead with understanding, awareness becomes action.

Recovering from sexual trauma while navigating rac Recovering from sexual trauma while navigating racism, discrimination or cultural expectations is no small feat. It takes extraordinary courage to seek mental health support when your full identity isn’t always seen or understood.

🧠 Quote: “We don’t heal in isolation. We heal in community. But what if our community doesn’t believe us?” – Survivor, Latina, age 32

To those showing up for themselves despite the weight of it all: we see you. Your growth matters. You matter.

🧡 This Minority Mental Health Month, we amplify voices often overlooked in conversations about trauma and wellbeing.

🔷 Behind the Brave: “To raise my voice for al 🔷 Behind the Brave: “To raise my voice for all who survive. Love for y’all.”

Bravery looks different for everyone. For some, it’s speaking up, not just for themselves, but for every survivor who’s still finding their voice.

🗣️ This is what it means to be Behind the Brave: To use your story, your strength, your love... To say: “You’re not alone. I see you. I’m with you.”

To every person raising their voice in solidarity, thank you. You are helping shift silence into hope.

💙 Let’s keep showing up, together.
