National Hugging Day 🤍 Hugs can be comforting, National Hugging Day 🤍

Hugs can be comforting, but they should always be a choice.

Today is a good reminder that consent matters for everyone, not just survivors. Not all bodies feel safe with hugs, and that’s okay. Care and connection don’t have to look one way.

Sometimes support sounds like:
- “Would a hug feel okay right now?”
- Sitting quietly together
- A kind message or check-in
- Respecting someone’s space
- Simply listening

When we honor boundaries, we create safer, more trusting relationships, ones where affection is offered, not assumed.

Let’s normalize asking.
Let’s normalize alternatives.
Let’s normalize care that feels safe.

It grows with community.

Voices of Change Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. remin Voices of Change

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us that change begins with courage. The courage to speak truth, to challenge injustice and to love boldly in the face of harm.

His voice called on us to protect the dignity of every human being and to build systems rooted in justice, compassion and accountability. Decades later, his words continue to guide those who refuse to stay silent in the face of injustice and who believe that collective courage can reshape the future.

Today, we honor Dr. King’s legacy by recommitting ourselves to the work of justice, recovery and hope, knowing that every voice raised with integrity moves us closer to the world he envisioned.

May we continue to be voices of courage.
May we continue to be Voices of Change.
