🍾 A Toast to 10! This photo from 2018 captures 🍾 A Toast to 10!

This photo from 2018 captures one of Brave Step’s earliest strategic planning sessions, where a dedicated group of leaders gathered to imagine what was possible. Their vision and commitment laid the foundation for the path we continue to walk today.

And tomorrow, history comes full circle as our current leadership team begins a two-day strategic planning session to chart the next chapter. 💜

From then to now, our mission remains the same: to build a strong, supportive community for all impacted by sexual violence. Here’s to the leaders - past, present and future - who make it possible.

Behind the Brave ... Moving on doesn’t mean for Behind the Brave ...

Moving on doesn’t mean forgetting, minimizing or pretending it didn’t happen. Growth is about acknowledging the truth of what you’ve been through and choosing to carry it forward with dignity, self-respect and pride in your strength.

At Brave Step, we believe survivors deserve to reclaim their stories, not bury them. Every step forward is an act of courage, and every survivor deserves to move on in a way that honors their journey. 💜

🌟 Voices of Change 🌟 Meet Zaria, one of our 🌟 Voices of Change 🌟

Meet Zaria, one of our newest interns and a future changemaker in the field of social work. Zaria is an MSW student at @unccharlotte, specializing in domestic violence and medical social work, and is pursuing her LCSW.

Her passion for supporting individuals in crisis and her commitment to creating safer, healthier communities inspire us. We’re honored to walk alongside her as she gains experience and brings her voice to the movement for change. 💜

Welcome, Zaria. We can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make!
