🌟 Voices of Change | Introducing Dr. Andrew Cas 🌟 Voices of Change | Introducing Dr. Andrew Case Brave Step is honored to welcome Dr. Andrew Case to our Advisory Board! With a doctoral degree in clinical and community psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Case brings a wealth of experience from his decade-long tenure as a professor at @unccharlotte, where he shaped the minds of future leaders in psychological science. As an independent consultant, he uses applied research and evaluation to help governmental agencies, nonprofits and small businesses clarify and achieve their missions. His clinical background includes assessing and treating mood and anxiety disorders in adults and adolescents, strengthened by his predoctoral internship at Yale University and a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University. Dr. Case’s passion for helping organizations thrive aligns with Brave Step’s mission to support survivors and loved ones through trauma-informed care, education and advocacy. It profoundly impacts minds, families and futures. Survivors are significantly more likely to experience depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use and suicidal thoughts. These mental health disparities are not coincidences. They are consequences. Yet too often, survivors face stigma and barriers to care instead of the support they deserve. At Brave Step, we meet this crisis head-on with trauma-informed mental health services, education and advocacy. Because wellbeing isn’t just possible — it’s urgent.
